Guidelines

This is SSW's flagship show. It takes place on a bi-weekly basis on Sunday nights at 9PM PST.

These will take place every 2-3 months and will be scheduled dependant on the storylines and angles going on in the promotion at that particular time. The deadlines for these events are exactly the same as they are for South Beach Sunday.

The limit for each show is ONE roleplay per week, meaning a max of two per show. This includes pay-per-view events. The roleplaying week commences every Monday at 6AM PST (Monday 9AM EST) and the deadline for the first week is Sunday at midnight PST (Sunday 3AM EST). The deadline for the second week is Sunday 3PM PST (Sunday 6PM EST), which is the day of the show. Each handler is required to roleplay at least once a week to show participation and prove themselves within the organization.

When it comes to a roleplay battle, the roleplay grading rubric is as follows -- trash talk is of paramount importance. How you get your argument across whilst at the same time deflating your opponent's will ultimately be what determines whether you are victorious or not. If there are continuity errors, things that are unwarranted, things don't make sense, or you simply cannot counter what is being thrown at you, you will suffer in this category and likely get an unfavorable result. The relevance of your roleplay in terms of your grappler's life and how it ties in with SSW and this business as a whole is next on the list, followed finally by grammar and spelling.

Each handler is responsible for one strat per show. This can range from backstage scenes to an interview or both. The deadline for these is Saturday 3PM PST (Saturday 6PM EST) which is the day before the show. This includes anything and everything you want played out for that particular event. These are beneficial to character development and they are also looked at when roleplaying between handlers is close. Don't let this potentially be the deciding factor in a tight contest by not contributing.

You, the handler, are in ultimate control as to how successful you are in Sunshine State Wrestling. Those who make the greatest contribution in terms of roleplaying and card segments will be the ones who advance the fastest and furtherest. What you put in, you will get out. Constant participation is the key to being successful within SSW.

Please do not use words like "roleplay" and "e-fed" in your promotional material. Asides from destroying your character's believability and credibility, it's a quick way of making sure you don't advance within SSW.

Keep them realistic. At the end of the day, your job is to make us all believe the character you're portraying is real. Ridiculous storylines such as murder or beating down President Obama will be laughed at not only by SSW staff, but by your peers. Remember, you're portraying the role of a wrestler.

Original characters only -- no exceptions.

Permission must be obtained from the handler of any character you plan on using in your segments. If you want to attack someone then you don't need their permission, but if you are going to write for their character you must have been given the okay by them first. Generally speaking, if you want to create a segment that features another wrestler(s), then it's best to get in contact with them and work together to construct it.

Don't post it anywhere on the forums. Be tasteful. Web hosts don't like that stuff.

Things come up all the time that need handling. If this is the case and you can't roleplay for a match or need some time off, let me know and arrangements will be made to facilitate it -- it's no problem. Just don't no-show without an explanation.

If you have a question or a problem with an aspect of Sunshine State Wrestling, please come to me by way of private message or e-mail -- do not argue about it over the forums.

Be sure to have it, otherwise this whole experience is pointless.
